Frequently asked

Do I need any VR experience?
None at all. Most of our guests have never put on a headset before. A staff member runs you through the controls and stays available throughout your session. If you've never gamed in your life, you'll still have a great time.
What ages can play?
From age 8 and up. Some titles (Half-Life: Alyx, Resident Evil 4 VR) are restricted to older players — we'll point you to age-appropriate options when you book. Younger children need a parent or guardian in the room with them.
Is it safe?
Yes. Every headset and facial interface is sanitised between sessions. Rooms are wipe-clean. You stay seated or stationary for most titles, and we provide wrist straps and safety briefings for the full-body ones. We follow manufacturer safety guidance for every title on the menu.
Can I get motion sick?
Some people, yes. About 1 in 20 first-timers feel queasy for the first 10–15 minutes. We start you on a stationary title, take breaks, and most people adapt quickly. If it doesn't work for you, we don't charge for the remainder of that session.
What if I'm late or need to cancel?
Bookings can be rescheduled up to 24 hours in advance at no charge. Late arrivals cut into your session time. No-shows are charged the full amount. The 24-hour window exists because we turn away other guests to hold your slot.
Do you offer gift cards?
Yes — digital gift cards for any amount, redeemable against any session or membership. Email us at info@vrguard.ca and we'll send one within an hour.

Most slots are available within 48 hours. Weekends fill up a week out, so book early if you're bringing a group.
